Our Mission

We believe that chamber orchestra music is an integral part of a major art form, enriching and illuminating the human experience. It was to provide the citizens of our community with this art and to make a contribution to classical music in America that we founded the Mozart Classical Orchestra. We believe the needs of the community to be best served by the professional nonprofit resident chamber orchestra. As such, the Mozart Classical Orchestra is dedicated to bringing quality performances of chamber orchestra works from the classical repertoire to the people of Southern California. Since its inaugural season in 1985, the Mozart Classical Orchestra has garnered the highest public praise for its performance standards, for the quality of its guest soloists, and for the intelligence with which its programs are chosen. Under the leadership of its Founding Music Director, Ami Porat, the Mozart Classical Orchestra continues to perform a unique combination of rarely-heard works and mainstays of the orchestral repertoire. The Mozart Classical Orchestra performs at Artists Theatre, 625 Park Avenue in beautiful Laguna Beach, California.
